With regard to the various tasks, duties and competences, a technician can be qualified on three levels:
This level prescribes the ability to adjust and handle the equipment, physically perform the test, record the results, and draw up a technical report.The 1st level entails no responsibility for choosing the method or interpreting the test results.
The qualified person at this level, in addition to having the skills of the previous level, must be able to select the appropriate control method, to have profound knowledge of the codes, standards and control specifications, as well as interpret and evaluate the results.
This is the highest level of qualification.In addition to having the previous-level skills, the person must be able to evaluate test results in relation to standards and codes.They must also have sufficient knowledge of materials and manufacturing techniques in order to choose the appropriate method of analysis.Level 3 professionals must assume full responsibility for a testing laboratory or an exam center.
I&T has been authorised as a CICPND Certified Test Center to offer level 1 and 2 examinations.
We are also certified to operate as a DEKRA examination center for all exams including up to level 3.
